choices

Finding choices before me,
not all paths are clear,
not all paths are true.
What was old,
still exists in the recess of my mind.
The New pushes my feet forward to a different way.
Some times i am confused.
Sometimes I am sure.
Sometimes I am lost in a new land.

Hi -
I saw you over at Mark's blog - and I thought I would come and say hello to you, so, "Hello". :-)
I love your poem. I also understand, about how events can change our lives - I have had a few life-changers over the years. I understand how there is the you before the event and the you after the event - amazing huh? I was diagnosed with M S five years ago - a life changer. Earlier years I survived some things, ya know? I guess I have rambled enough.
Peace and love to you
Gail

hold your chin up and just let the wind kiss you -
all this uncertainty will go.

if the rain comes, i pray
that it clears the way for you
and takes this confusion in tow.

how true, and I think maybe a very common state of mind for most of us, human beings:
sometimes i am confused. Sometimes i am sure. Sometimes i am lost...!
But I like to make my choices quick, instead of waiting it out.

It is funny, I could have rambled on for a time using words to describe things, it was so much easier in free verse. Thyank all of you for your comments, I know we are all in this life together.

This captures the feelings of all of us at one time or another in our lives, I think.

I know that I feel a lot more comfortable around the "lost" than I do the "found."

"Often lost in a new land", is clearly my lot in life.

Nicely expressed. Now I'm less confused about my confusion.
