Ah

the clouds came yesterday,
with the rain
and the wind.
They seemed to mark an end to the dreary Stamford weather,
that has made me dislike the summers here,
but this year, it was only for a week.
The rest of the summer was more to my liking, hot, drier than normal.
For the second time now the temperature has dropped,
reminding me fall, and then winter are close.
The clouds have blown away and the air is crisp.
I think of falling leaves and apples,
not what will come after.
Still struggling with ends and endings,
the weather actually adds to that,
but it is better.
