Yesterday was rainy...
and COLD ...
and WINDY...
It was a day I did not work
so I stayed indoors and created a mixture of the few trees I have seen in the fall.
I also roasted a chicken and made Escarole bean soup. It was a good day.
I do love the colors of Fall!

Hi Joey--I loved yesterday. My Mom and Sis visited - I had a nice fire going ion the wood stove - and candles lit - I made corn bread and apple crisp they brought soft rolls and ham and swiss cheese - I brewed tea and we sat by the fire sharing food, tea, love and memories of Dad, and my sister's son and her husband too. It was very warm and comforting inside - perhaps we felt it even more because of the raw wind and rain and blowing leaves.
Your food sounded yummy too. Your day? Lovely, as well.
Love Gail
peace.....
Yes, I love the colors of Fall too! You made good (creative) use of your time indoors!...and good food helps!
So no salty soup this time? Excellent way to spend a cool rainy day.
Just in case any of you are thinking, I do NOT think this is very good as far as a painting goes. It is only partly my "Style" and not much more than letting loose the frustration of not even having the time to paint for months. I did everything for memory, which may say more about my memory than any think (large blanks appearing).
No sea salt to pour into the soup, but there is a question if I ruined it or not.
David (after i did ad much as I could) asked me to save it because it helped his sore throat and his mind also (the electrolyte???). He ate all the leftover and was not doing badly with it. So not a total loss.
You were right about yesterday's weather. I walked to work at 6am, had to break out the winter coat. You do justice to the beauty of fall with you paintbrush.. I did New England Clam Chowder soup last night. Yummy....
I am in awe daily at the colors.
Love the new painting.
And now it's been summer like the past few days. I'll take some of that roasted chicken.
Good job.
In my life, I have never seen such magnificent autumn colors as I have seen this year in the Heart of America. Some of it is just breathtaking.
You make the colors of fall come alive! I would love to own that painting. :)
