Sandy

So the wind begins to blow
and the trees begin to dance.
The people tremble
from what is not known.
How like us to fear the wind
and the rain.
The storm comes
and we prepare the best we can,
but i prefer what the trees do...
to dance!

Be safe, Joey. Hope all on the east coast brave this storm well and that damage is minimal, with no loss of life. Great poem!

The funny thing is that when i lived in Texas i experienced a truly terrible storm - Carla - which did last several days and destroyed several costal towns-"sandy" is nothing compared to that.

Watch the devastation on TV and I hope all is safe and well. I knew just how terrible can be when I saw the effects Hurricane Katrina back then.

we are all fine and did not even lose power where we were. The flooding was intense, but we are in a good location and it was not a problem
