it creeps

Slowly it creeps,
closer and closer.
I have seen it before,
fought it back,
subdued it
and learned much,
but i am getting tired.
It is not a sad thing,
just i do not want to go there yet,
but i am getting tired.
Day after day
and struggle after struggle,
it is wearing me down
and i am getting tired.
Time creeps,
we some times creep,
moving slowly from place to place.
We pretend to stand upright,
we pretend to walk,
we pretend to run,
but all we are is creeping,
slowly,
so very slowly
and i am getting tired.
