Today did not start off well,
or maybe it did.
I was remember what i do not want to ever forget,
yet the remembering is sometimes painful.
Finding something in plain sight after looking and not seeing last night.
The red skies in the morning,
brilliant and beautiful,
yet telling me of unsettled weather coming.
And then at work,
an argument with my boss,
but that is okay,
it was an argument on methodology and what is and is not important in a science thing.
I do not take it personally and i do not think he does either.
A new baby born to a neighbor,
this was really good.
Then information about something coming into Stamford from an actor and i think an Iron Chef.
Almost finishing a paper of well water in Stamford, my Novemebr update.
More interesting work and then Chinese for lunch.
All in all a good day.

A day of "it did not"
IT did not snow 2 feet.
It did not even flurry.
I did not paint any of the photos I wanted to.
I did not stay indoors.
I did not cook a comfort meal last nightr.
I did not cook at all.
Yesterday I got a call and something which had been pending for a long time was going to happen.
(I know this almost sounds like Dr Seuss, without the rhyme.)
It was not a bad call, it was the final pull out from Twenty.
The Greeks were finally allowing Scott to pull out His own stuff (furniture, sound systems, decorative items)
Much was already removed (furniture especially), but we packed 2 rent-it trucks full.
We worked from 2 till 9 PM to finish.
And it is now over, save the lawsuits.
While it was some what sad, it also was, to me a final victory in a long struggle.
While waiting for the final phone call that would get us into the closed place, I did a quick paint sketch of inside our house.
The person at the computer is our Christmas Guest who helped mightily with our removal yesterday afternoon. The plant is a Hibiscus and it is huge!
Tonight will do more comfort food, but this morning I made a Greek favorite Pan - Kakis,
The story is an old family one from the late 1930's or early 1940's when an uncle for Greece visited my mom's family in Virginia beach.
For whatever reason it seems that Greeks like to talk long walks in the morning and so my mom's uncle took this long walk down the board walk of Virginia Beach and came back saying that "This Greek fellow, who owns a lot of restaurants on the boardwalk, must be a rich man. They asked who it was and he said his name is every where - pankakis (with of course a heavy Greek accent).
Of course he was talking about the pancake houses.

So what happened?
The Optometrist told me what I knew, things are getting better. They had measurements to prove it though.
They did not change the prisms in the glasses, but that is okay, the time will come.
I do have another appointment next month, we will see! (pun is intended)
The powers that have the authority to grant me extra sick time from the sick bank, will not.
It turns out that because i have vacation time and am WORKING, even if it is part-time, I do not qualify for the serious needs clause. This did not phase me, I will approach my union concerning this because they have told me that this was not how it was to work.
My dear friend Jenny had her check for rent stolen and cashed. The thief was caught on video and I think that will work out, but she is out cash money that was also stolen at the same time. It almost sounds like the landlord did not change the locks from the previous tenant.
She is upset (rightfully so), but she standing strong. I will try to make sure she is okay (if she lets me, she is strong willed in that way).
I stayed till 1:30 at work and did okay! Had to crash when i came home, but that is okay. I am up now and doing well.
I will do my vegetarian Mexican meal tonight. I have to get lentils so i can do some good Indian food and/or some fresh vegetables for Italian. These are easy to cook and keeps me in touch with the world.
Strange, but positive day.
